Credit Repair Dudes — Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much do your services cost?
We offer simple monthly plans with no contracts. You only pay while you’re getting value. Full pricing is listed on our Programs page.
2. How will I know what progress is being made?
You’ll get a secure online dashboard showing every dispute sent, every response received, score changes, and updated reports when they arrive.
3. Can I repair my credit myself?
Absolutely. The law gives you that right. Most people hire us because the process is confusing, slow, and time-consuming. We do it daily — fast, legally, and correctly.
4. Do you just send generic dispute letters?
No. Every dispute is custom-built based on what’s inaccurate, outdated, or unverifiable. We never use mass-produced letters — that’s why our results stick.
5. Can I apply for credit while in the program?
Yes, but keep in mind new inquiries can temporarily impact your score. We’ll guide you on when it’s safe to apply.
6. Is credit repair actually legal?
Yes. The FCRA, FDCPA, and FCBA give you the right to dispute inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable information. We simply help enforce those rights.
7. Do I still need to pay my bills during the program?
Yes. Staying current is critical. New late payments, missed bills, or high utilization will slow down your results.
8. Can deleted items ever reappear?
Rarely. If a creditor later verifies something they previously couldn’t, the bureaus must notify you before putting it back.
9. How long does credit repair take?
Most clients see changes in the first 30–60 days. Full timelines vary depending on the number of items, the bureaus, and creditors.
10. How much will my credit score increase?
Every report is different. We’ve seen jumps from 20 points to over 200. Our job is to get you the maximum improvement possible.
11. Do you offer a couples discount?
Yes — couples always get a reduced rate because fixing credit together creates faster approvals and better results.
12. Will I see my reports and scores after I sign up?
Yes. You’ll see all three bureaus and starting scores in your client portal once onboarding is complete.
13. Who sees my credit information?
Only your assigned credit specialist. Your information is encrypted and protected at all times.
14. What items can you help remove?
We challenge any negative item that is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, unverifiable, or reported illegally — including lates, collections, charge-offs, repos, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and more.
15. Does paying off debt fix my credit?
Paying debt helps long-term, but negative history stays. That’s why disputing and correcting inaccurate reporting is so important.
16. Can you remove inquiries?
If an inquiry wasn’t authorized or can’t be verified, we challenge it. They’re low-impact, so we focus on bigger items first.
17. Can I cancel at any time?
Yes — no contracts, no penalties, no stress. You’re in control.
18. How does the dispute process work?
We identify inaccurate items → prepare targeted disputes → send challenges → bureaus have up to 45 days to respond → updates appear in your dashboard.
19. What happens after I sign up?
You’ll receive a welcome call, portal login, credit review, and your first round of disputes sent out typically within 3–5 business days.
20. How do I get started?
Click “Get Started,” complete onboarding, and we’ll begin analyzing your reports immediately.
